Herbert "Herb" Johnson passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2024.

JOHNSON, Herbert "Herb", aged 56, passed away unexpectedly, on January 15, 2024
Born in Boston, to the late Warren and Sybil (Stuart) Johnson, Herb was a man whose kindness and friendly demeanor touched the lives of all who knew him
Herb was the beloved husband of Stacey Lentz of Randolph, and together they shared a life full of love and mutual respect.

He was also cherished by his adoptive mother, Judy Ovington King of Dedham, who stepped into his life and filled it with warmth and guidance.
Herb will be fondly remembered by his cousin, Elaina Johnson of New Hampshire, and he held dear the memory of her late husband, Bill.
His in-laws, Larry and Deb Lentz of Florida, and Loren of Duxbury, also survive him, and they will miss his loving presence at family gatherings.
Herb's life was preceded in passing by his brother, W. Stuart Johnson. His many cousins and friends, who were like an extended family to him, will also feel the absence of his caring nature.

A graduate of Randolph High School and Massasoit College, Herb was a lifelong learner who applied his knowledge and skills with dedication.
His professional life was largely spent at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Dedham, where he worked for over 25 years.
Herb's most recent role as the Front Desk Clerk was a perfect fit for his warm personality, allowing him to welcome guests with his friendly smile and kind words, making them feel at home.
Herb’s love for music was a constant source of joy in his life, and his love for dancing was infectious.
Whether at a family gathering or out with friends, Herb could often be found on the dance floor, moving with a rhythm that was all his own.
An avid sports enthusiast, Herb's passion for all the Boston sports teams was unparalleled.
He followed each game with fervor, celebrating their victories and standing by them in defeat.
His love for sports was more than just a hobby; it was a way for him to connect with friends and family, sharing in the highs and lows of each season.

Above all, Herb was a loving and caring person who placed his family at the center of his universe.
He had a generosity of spirit that knew no bounds, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to anyone in need.
His acts of kindness, both big and small, made a lasting impact on those around him.
Herb's legacy is one of love, kindness, and friendship.
His gentle manner and genuine concern for others served as an example of how to live a life full of compassion and grace.
As we remember Herb, we are reminded to cherish the simple pleasures in life, to nurture the bonds of family and friendship, and to approach each day with a kind heart.
His memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love he gave so freely.
Herb's life was a testament to the beauty of a life well-lived, and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Graveside Service on Saturday, January 20th, at 11:00 AM
