OBITUARY
Mace, Robert
Robert Mace passed away January 2, 2024.
Robert Mace of Randolph entered to rest on January 2, 2024 at the age of 57.
Robert Joseph, known affectionately as Rob by his loved ones, passed away gracefully at home on January 2, 2024, after a courageous fight with cancer.
He was the beloved son of Dolores A. (Petrino) Mace and the late Donald E. Mace of Randolph.
Rob was a beacon of light and love to all who knew him, a testament to a family grounded in love, strength, and unity.
Rob was a devoted brother to Barbara M. (Mace) Garitty and her husband Bob of Aurora, IL, and to Donald E. Mace and his wife Ellen of Mashpee.
His role as a loving Uncle to Andrew, his Godson Michael, Madeline, and his Goddaughter Jennifer was one he cherished deeply.
He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Each family gathering was brightened by his presence and his innate ability to bring laughter and warmth to any room.
Rob was preceded in death by his longtime partner, Leo K. Downey, and his beloved dog Watson.
Rob's early years were spent in the close-knit community of Randolph, where he attended Randolph High School and graduated with the class of 1984.
His formative years were marked by a spirited personality that would become his signature trait throughout life.
Following his graduation, Rob channeled his charismatic energy into a successful career as a Real Estate Agent,
where he served the Boston and Maine communities with dedication and a natural flair for connecting people with their perfect homes.
Those who knew Rob will remember a man who was the epitome of kindness and generosity.
He never hesitated to help others, and his willingness to give of himself was unparalleled.
His interests were a reflection of his zest for life; he enjoyed traveling to new places, camping under the stars, and relaxing at the beach.
A people person through and through, Rob was always the life of the party, ensuring that everyone felt included and valued.
Rob's love for entertaining family and friends was matched only by his love for laughter and good company.
With Rob, there was an unspoken promise of joy, an understanding that time spent with him was time spent in happiness.
The absence of Rob's vibrant presence will be felt profoundly by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Yet, the legacy he leaves behind—a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity—will continue to inspire and comfort his family and friends.
His life was a testament to the power of living with an open heart, and his memory will serve as a guiding light for all who carry his spirit in their hearts.
As we bid farewell to Rob, we celebrate a life well-lived, a life filled with purpose, passion, and an abundance of love.
His story does not end here; it lives on in the countless lives he touched, the smiles he created, and the love he spread so freely. Rest in peace, dear Rob.
Your journey has been one of beauty and grace, and your memory will forever be cherished.
