Camp
Peter Pan Sharboro (theme song)
The
original Camp Peter Pan Sharboro theme song is sung to the "Notre
Dame Victory March"
Notre
Dame Victory March
The
camp theme songs were sung daily by campers and staff as bus loads
of campers entered the camp grounds in the morning.
Also, the theme songs could be heard during sing-alongs lead by
the pool staff during councilor staff meetings.
Note: Originally called Camp Peter Pan, but years later Sharboro
was added to the name.
The camp was located on the Sharon/Foxboro, Massachusetts town
line hence the name Sharboro.
Camp
Peter Pan (original theme song lyrics)
[verse one]
We
are the kids from Camp Peter Pan
We
think our camp's the best in the land
We
have fun the whole day through
With
swimming and hiking and ball games, too
[verse two]
Our
leaders guide us all through the day
We
sing and dance we really are gay
So
come and join us if you can we're the kids from Camp Peter Pan
[verse four]
We
are jolly campers, happy are we
Now,
all together, we sing to victory
We
welcome you to Peter Pan we're mighty glad you're here
We'll
start the Earth reverberating with a mighty cheer, "rah rah!"
We'll
sing you in, we'll sing you out
And
we will raise a mighty shout
For
it's "hip, hip, horay!" for the campers of Camp Peter
